Fake appointments

Hey guys, I’ve been in Boston since Thursday and since then I’ve had more than 5 fake appointments. Two guys had been talking with me for over two weeks, but on the day we were supposed to meet they just blocked me on RM or stopped replying.

Another supposed client even ordered an Uber for me — he sent me a screenshot saying it would arrive in 3 minutes — but I waited more than 25 minutes and nothing showed up. After that, he also stopped responding, so clearly that one was fake too.

I’ve traveled a lot and never experienced this many fake appointments in just 3–4 days. Has anyone else heard about this happening in Boston?

Must be something in the air. Had plans with my favorite provider to meet me on a trip I'm on. He even sent me a copy of his ticket revealing his name!

Then ghosted leading up to the trip and still haven't heard from him! I came here a couple of days early because he was meeting me. 

I'm actually torn between pissed and worried,  as this hasn't happened before.

But he blocked you or just stopped to answer?

The idea of fake appointments just doesn’t make any sense unless I stick my head up my a$$ to see if from the fakers perspective.    It’s a testimony to a very sad person

I have never encountered this as a client but used to have similar things happen on Grindr (in NYC) all the time. I would get near a guy’s place and he would block me the second I asked for his exact address, apartment number, etc. My favorite was when a guy didn’t even block me but said his intercom must have been broken and asked me to come back (like two hours later)… come on!

We've been texting for quite some time, so I think just not answering. Also his RM ad expired, but he's always bad about letting it lapse and then renewing.  I'm at a loss, as we had a good conversation setting it up and he excitedly sent me the flight confirmation. Then ghosted when I reachedout a week before for logistics and havent heard from him since.  I really hope he's OK.

That is a very bad action from him.... But in my opinion if he was a nice guy at least he would send some message for u.  Are u 100% sure he is not fake?

Yes, we've spent a couple of overnights together on a different trip last year.  (After a couple of failed attempts, I admit). He often takes a couple of days to respond,  but always has before.  And unless I'm wrong, I don't think he's a drug user or anything like that.
