Whippoorwill Posted Friday at 10:07 PM Posted Friday at 10:07 PM In the '80s and '90s when I was going to the sex clubs a lot, I had to quit going during high flu season...with everyone exchanging saliva and other bodily fluids, I would be sick all the time. So knocking it off from December - March or so did the trick. Out of flu season, "most" people aren't carrying the bug and it's pretty safe. In flu season, you can be sure at least one person is, and then everyone is. + claym 1

I think it was less due to bacteria/virus and more due to physical trauma to the back of my throat. I've since learned that poppers work well to relax my throat in such situations, so my sore throats are less common now that the penis can go further down my throat without banging on my tonsils. I’ve started gargling with an antibacterial mouthwash (peroxide based) after such encounters to minimize similar experience. MikeBiDude 1
