Tentative advertising question

A provider advertises travel dates. Upon contact, they indicate they "might have some time" or turns out they aren't hosting. Is this a common practice now as I've encountered it lately from different providers. Or perhaps just back luck/time of year?

What you are being told is just the truth, and the reasons are plentiful. If seeing clients is their #1 traveling priority, seeing past generous / enjoyable clients come first, followed by you if time allows. If vacationing is the priority, seeing you would be rather doubtful. 

I'd suggest reaching out again when he is in the city you're trying to see him in, and see where that takes you. I'd take that to mean on your end with a repeat contact that you're really interested, but with reasons I previously listed, doesn't necessarily mean that you'll have that chance. Good luck.

So they put dates in their ads just to "tease"? "Time wasters" if that is the case and no sweat off my back. My energies go elsewhere if this is really the case...

I would say it's Christmas Day, so most providers traveling now will be near and with family. Chill out.

Advertisers that "tease" list a plethora of cities to visit consecutively, with probably no intent on actually being in them. If just one or two places are listed, chances are high that they'll be there.

And yes, if you reach out to someone when they are near you for a second time and you still don't get a response, absolutely move on to someone else.

Especially this time of year, I'd guess a lot of this would be guys visiting family or friends, as @NYXboy suggests, so would not be able to host.

Travel is expensive, so guys might be staying with friends, or traveling with friends or partners. This would make their schedule unpredictable, and not be able to host. Or they're visiting for another reason like a business trip for their other work, and thought maybe they'd see a client or two on the side but not really thinking whether that would be practical.

But that's not helpful to the client! And very frustrating. If the guy just isn't set up and available to work, move on.

It’s common for some escorts to list cities to see if they get a lot of interest and then book the trip to that city.  Unless they are there for work or some other reason they may just be probing.

The teasing or probing is a normal part of the business lol. If you are really interested, you can turn a tease into a real trip.
