OcalaRTR Posted December 10 Posted December 10 I'm not sure where I should post this - but thought others might want to know. I could not access Pornhub or XVideos or anything like those on the web, due to my location in the USA - unless I either paid to have access or gave them information about me. I didn't want to do either one. I've been looking at VPNs lately - and I found one - the free version of Proton VPN. I have it - it works great, as it doesn't interfere with what I'm doing. And, I can now have access to Pornhub, XVideos, XNXX, etc. Sometimes I have to tell them I'm over 18, but that's all I have to do. Free VPN with no ads and no speed limits | Proton VPN PROTONVPN.COM Proton VPN’s free plan is the only free VPN service with no data limit, no ads and no logs of user activity. Keep your personal data private and secure. + Just Chuck, DMICS, RacerXLA and 3 others 4 1 1
DMICS Posted December 10 Posted December 10 I'd also suggest for those looking for a VPN to keep an eye on Rakuten. Every quarter of the year they usually offer 100% cashback for NordVPN on a 2-year basic plan. I currently use that for non-porn related things. + FrankR 1
+ Alabastrine Posted December 10 Posted December 10 Proton and mullvad are the best for privacy. With the other VPNs one has to be careful since they might log and sell your data. I would recommend paying for proton's software suite- email, cloud drive, vpn, authenticator, password manager, etc.. + Just Chuck, + JamesB, peter831 and 1 other 1 3
BeamerBikes Posted December 10 Posted December 10 Should this get moved to the Tech section? + PhileasFogg, maninsoma and RichArt 1 2
+ MikeThomas Posted December 10 Posted December 10 I recently switched from ExpressVPN to NordVPN. Happy so far. DMICS and RichArt 2
caramelsub Posted December 10 Posted December 10 Also the Opera internet browser has a vpn option that works as well.
+ PhileasFogg Posted December 10 Posted December 10 I use NordVPN. Replaced expressvpn and I’m satisfied. DMICS 1
BeamerBikes Posted December 11 Posted December 11 Also endorse NordVPN. Is the most secure no? Will they sell your data or give it to the gov at a drop of a hat? Absolutely. is it cheap and effective for getting around geo blocks - yes! I missed a sale on after a renewal and they comped me another year as an offering with little back and forth.
OcalaRTR Posted December 15 Author Posted December 15 One thing I noticed about NordVPN - I can't print to my printer when the VPN is turned on. Laptop cannot find my printer - only 6' apart. I turned off the VPN, and laptop found printer immediately.

I don’t have NordVPN installed, so take this with a grain of salt, but try going to Settings > Connection and make sure “Stay invisible on LAN” is turned off. OcalaRTR 1
