I am flabbergasted at the number of men who offer their services on RM alone and the number of men who partake of their services.  I've been hiring since I was 13, yes, paid $10 for mutual masturbation, and it never occurred to me that there were so many like-minded men out there.  I'm guessing it's being a taboo subject unsuitable at a dinner party, and no internet to open my eyes.  I actually thought it was a small number since gay sex is quite available, at least in major cities.  Color me naive.

Prostitution is the oldest profession and while the majority of that is heterosexual, homosexual sex is practiced by at least 12% of the male population.  But for a long time and even in most gay social circles, hiring an escort is not usually discussed.  In Palm Springs section of Rentmen, there have been as many as 15 pages of escorts for a population of 150000 in the great Palm Springs area. There is a lot of money and bodily fluids  being exchanged

Gay sex is readily available but I suspect they attract two very different groups that probably doesn’t have a lot of cross over. People may prefer hiring, if they can afford it, for a broader and more certain selection, no strings and potentially greater discretion. As an old football coach once said, “if it floats, flies or fucks, you’re better off renting than buying “.
