A lot of new faces along with a couple of familiar ones appear in this new period aggro soap opera. Lots of violence and fire in ep1. 

Tumblr has offered clips of exposed male flesh, and online mentions elsewhere suggest secretive gay entanglements being part of the plot. Okay...

I need writing and acting.

Anybody want to convince me why I should watch episode 2?

I'm about halfway through and really enjoying it. I'm coming right off "Black Rabbit" (also on Netflix) which has a similar "Two brothers, one's a chaos-creating loser" theme. I'm liking the characters (particularly the younger brother and the older brother's wife) and there's a good nude scene in episode 3. Bonus supporting role by Jack Gleeson (King Joffrey in Game of Thrones), I'm glad he's un-retired. It's got a disclaimer about not being historically accurate, but it has made me curious about reading more to see how accurate it is.

I finished it last night and really loved it.  Shallow man that I am, the attractive actors and the aforementioned nude scene scored points. The characters, even the 'bad' ones, are likeable. Plenty of strong women. It seems very likely there will be another season.

I have gone through 3 episodes including the frontal nudity scene.  I read that the actor refused a prosthetic but if that is true he is hung like a horse.  Thought he would poke out an eye of the butler helping him out of the tub.  The chronology seems to be very off.
