It is often forgotten that these guys are human beings trying to earn a living and the cattiness and rude shit people say all over this site is generally not any way you’d likely ever talk about your lawyer, or your dentist, or your plumber. (Especially when it comes to the nonsense I read on here with people complaining about rates …. Again - do you haggle your other professionals?).

I agree with most of what you wrote, but earlier this week I did negotiate price with a therapist who was out-of-network.  Both sexwork and healthcare are inefficient, non-transparent and distorted markets in the US, for different reasons, so lets put those aside.  But why wouldn't you negotiate with your plumber?

Depending on context, it can be appropriate to negotiate price with professionals.  Corporations negotiate prices with their law firms and consultants all the time.  Employers negotiate salaries with employees all the time, and later employees negotiate raises with their employers.

A service-worker's price is their price.  Whether that price is flexible, or if an alternative/reduced set of services can be provided at a lower price, all depends on the service-worker's willingness to negotiate.

Because my plumber’s not putting his dick in my ass. That’s why I’m not negotiating.

He got so offended that he said he doesn’t like people talking about this publicly and he is gonna block me. I didn’t expect his extreme reaction and now the post mentioning him here is gone…

A gentleman would respect the provider's wishes and not name him here again.  If it's too late to edit your post, you can always still delete your post to respect the provider's wishes.

OMG.  First rule of Company Club........  🤷‍♂️

Its one thing to say "good" or "avoid" or "recommend" or "too expensive" in a more general sense versus going into detail.  I am learning the more I am on here that graphic details are not needed and should be avoided.....first because as noted earlier there should be a two way agreement of non-disclosure...but also, too many guys here I observe use this site for their own pleasure and have never even hired anyone.  They constantly are asking "what specific things did you get into" and have never provide any feedback of their own.  I would encourage them to go out and experience a provider live and in person.
