Maybe Happy Ending

I don't want to say too much. Much of the fun of this show was the fact that I knew only two things going in.

1. The story is about two "Helper Bots" who have become outdated and "retired" by their owners. (Typing that me makes me think about the two old laptops and five old cell phones under my bed.)

2. Darrin Criss plays one of them. He impresses me every time I see him. 

1:45 without intermission. The time mostly flew. Production values exquisite. Exiting the theater we stopped to just look at others leaving...were they as charmed as we were? 

Completely original concept, book, and score. Such a rarity these days. 

Word of mouth seems very strong. 

I already have two more sets of tickets.

Saw it today. A very charming, funny, sometimes heart breaking show. Helen J Shen and Darren Criss are terrific. Good music and creatively staged.

I saw this again this weekend and found myself equally charmed knowing what was going to happen. Don't let anyone give you details, just get a ticket and go.

Just saw Maybe Happy Ending again and loved it even more the second time. This show is something special—smart, tender, and full of heart. The music stays with you, the performances are stunning, and the story is both intimate and surprisingly profound. I honestly think this will win Best Musical—and deservedly so. It’s rare to see a show that feels this original and emotionally resonant. If you haven’t seen it yet, run.
