I missed this show when it was at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts so was happy to catch up with it today at the Tate. Well worth the additional fee of 22 pounds I spent several hours viewing about 60 paintings many of which never travel. In addition to the paintings there were actual clothes that some of the sitters wore plus photos of Sargent and some of his friends. It’s a truly sumptuous show for any Sargent fans.

That show really was the unexpected highlight of my resent trip to London.

Strangely, there haven’t been any pics from the Yoko Ono show at the Tate Modern yet…….grin

From this and @foxy's other thread, I'd say it's time I took one of those 24 hour flights to somewhere interesting, and visit London again.

I will be in London next week.

Definitely something I'd like to check out. Sargent is my favorite portrait painter.
