I contacted him and he was quick to respond, and we had a pleasant exchange.  It doesn't, however, look like we can make actually meeting work out.  My guess is he's in the area as someone's guest and may have limited free time.

Can confirm this to be accurate. He was coming to Nashville this weekend and I had reached out to him to meet. He was very nice and quick to respond, we even talked over the phone and had confirmed on a day. Now the day before he calls me and says the friend he was going to stay with is sick and that he can’t (why he doesn’t just get a hotel I didn’t bother to ask) stay there. So sad 😞
