It's a hearsay, this never happened to any of my friends who escort. 

Is that even possible?

There's an old thread about a specific Northern Virginia scammer pulling a similar fraud on providers, but because the scammed is a regular poster I would rather not bump it or place a link.

For most service providers of this type, the payer can file a dispute and request a refund, but they will investigate large amounts, request documentation like a sworn statement and if it happens with frequency they may close your account.

I'm pretty sure Venmo would close your account if they have reasonable evidence that you're using the money illegally, which technically hiring is.

Yup exactly  That’s the protection many scammers rely on so they’ll lure the victim into drug / sex related intended activity to preempt a complaint.
