+ glutes
Shohei Ohtani camp pushes for investigation into alleged ‘massive theft’ as IRS probes interpreter (NY Post) Dodgers fire Shohei Ohtani's interpreter amid allegation of 'massive theft' (ESPN) Alright, what's the real story? Before MLB & Dodgers covers it up. Glutes smells a (Pete) Rose. Edited March 22 by glutes marylander1940
viewing ownly
What I got a kick out of when this story broke is "Ohtani is not available for comment". His interpreter is gone. We know! marylander1940 and MikeBiDude 1
+ glutes
It's likely (speculation here) Ohtani was placing bets through Mizuhara, which is why he paid to cover the losses. This is the only way Mizuhara could carry a $4.5m marker with bookies. Mizuhara is being thrown under the bus to protect Ohtani, but it's hard to see how this "Mizuhara stole the money from Ohtani" narrative can stand up without criminal prosecution of Mizuhara. Is this guy going to go to prison to protect his "friend"? The whole thing stinks. There needs to be an above board investigation, and we'll get a cover up. viewing ownly
If this ends up being the most disastrous fall from grace in sports history, I look forward to the 2027 movie, and the 2028 Oscars. Script-writers, get a jump on this NOW.
viewing ownly
I don't know if Cuba Gooding, Jr. could pass for Dave Roberts or not, but currently I could be cast as that nut-job banging a drum in the stands at A's games.
