She was 100 years old. Her career spanned 80 years.. In addition to starring in Mary Poppins as the kids' mother, Mrs. Winifred Banks; Bozo fondly remembers her performance as the evil villainess, Lady Penelope Peasoup (who along with her brother, Lord Marmaduke Ffogg, portrayed by Rudy Vallee), wreaked havoc in a 3-part episode on the 60's Batman TV series. Of the dozens of villains from the Batman TV series, only four are still with us: Julie Newmar, Joan Collins, John Astin, and Barbara Rush. Burt Ward is the only Batman regular that is still alive.
