I mean: its all free now, so how does the industry survive?

What m I missing?

That not everyone refuses to pay just because it's easy to view porn for free?  There's actually quite a lot more shoplifting now where I live than there used to be, but I don't walk into the grocery store and walk out with my groceries without paying.  That's just not who I am.

I'm not saying I don't watch any porn on sites where I'm not paying, but I have subscribed to various men's sites.  I'm obviously not alone if you look at how much the top performers on Only Fans supposedly make.

A lot of the free sites edit the films and leave out the juicy parts, typically at the end (pun intended). These often include recent productions.

Pornhub has reinstated a pay premium site after their recent troubles with their unverified content. I used to have a subscription to them before the trouble but my credit card could no longer be accessed by them for payments. They indicate they have found a workaround but I haven't tried it.

What I dislike are the silly kooky ads you see everywhere that shows some ridiculous scenario. You can get off just by looking at the ads without any sound, but the way they are produced is like they are mocking the viewer.

Brazzers and the same gay studios make them with the same tired ass pornstars.

It's sensory overload with a condescending demeanor almost like the visual is the equivalent to eating a shitty McDonald's burger or taco bell cheesy beef burrito that you'll regret in an hour.

During the pandemic the studios closed down pretty much. A number of them were bought by amateur investor types to sell memberships to get at the copyrighted library in higher definition. They're not really interested in filming new porn much as the better guys make more on OF (which isn't saying much as little as porn studios now pay). And from the taste the new owners seem to have in men, it's probably a good thing they try to minimize new works in their business equation. Some of the independent stuff coming on OF etc is pretty good, just way expensive compared to old porn.
