bigdipper
I’m usually 10-15 minutes early and tell the provider that. If they don’t respond by 5 minutes after the session start time, I walk. Plenty of time for them to respond within that timeframe.
dotwla
I think we have all had these situations. If possible in calls typically have the best chance of happening when comparing to out calls and I’m sure a book could be written on all the various excuses. Personally I think 15 minutes if no contact at all and 30 if he at least contacts you. The excuse I have heard the most if you do end up in contact: oh f—k, I fell asleep, sorry” LOL Well, he might as well go back to sleep as he has been cancelled! He did text at one point to say he was running late though. I did speak to him about it as another client also told me he showed up late for a session. Told him it was not professional. I've seen him twice since and he's been on time. That's good. I told that to the regular I later "fired," but he had an attitude, pointedly ignored me, and kept making excuses for being late. He thought he was worth more than he really was. Jostar, marylander1940 and TorontoDrew

Considering you were his regular that was very annoying. Ryan Rose made plans and didn't show up 3 times in a row to a frequent poster... Back to subject if I have nothing going on I don't mind waiting unless there's no communication but 30 minutes would be my limit because it's just disrespectful. Jamie21
I once turned up to a client (hotel out call) a whole hour early by mistake. I think I’ve written about it on here previously. It was a duo session with another guy. Client wanted the other guy first and then me to join them after a couple of hours to ‘add some variety part way through the session’. All was agreed (I knew the other guy I was working with) and times arranged etc. I confirmed it back to them but somehow I still knocked on the door of the room a whole hour ahead of my scheduled time. The thing is I really struggle with time. It’s definitely a conscious effort for me to keep track of it and be on time. I couldn’t read a traditional hands clock until I was much older than my classmates. I still find it difficult to measure how long things will take. Anyway the client was fine about me being early, he found it funny (told me it wasn’t the first time he’d had a hire cum prematurely!). He still asked me to wait in the hotel lobby though until my scheduled time… TorontoDrew
Guest
Yes, shit does (occasionally) happen, but this is not 1990. There is no reason not to text or call someone in the event of unexpected complications which prevent the timely meeting. I've never been late to a provider meeting, but have had a few not show up on time or texted or phoned. That's a permanent sayonara for me. When someone is not on time, not texting or phoning is the sign of someone who's rude and self-absorbed, and couldn't care less about others. Why would anyone need people like that in their lives? + The Big Guy
On several occasions when meeting up at their place, my only option for the late provider was to wait in the car or stand outside. Not a great option in a Houston summer. That’s why I always check in before I leave the house and reinforce I will be on time. It’s usually at least a 30 minute drive. If they are then non responsive or more than 15 minutes late I feel ok about leaving. TorontoDrew

I had the situation happen to me numerous times where the guys are sleeping and never reply back. So after waiting 30 minutes no reply I leave. Then I get text next day oh sorry I over slept, are you still interested seeing me the next day. Am like nope. TorontoDrew
marylander1940
Taking this slightly off topic and seeing the glass half empty, something I don't do when it comes to this wonderful hobby... The instant gratification combined with goldfish / microwave attention span has taken over most folks under 30, unfortunately it applies to others and not to them who can allegedly can constantly multitask. I don't understand when an escort is 5 blocks away and I tell him I'm on my way his need to know my exact ETA and the fact that if I tell him I'll be there in 7 minutes he'll be texting me "where are you" in 5 or less minutes because time runs a certain way when it comes to others, but it doesn't apply to them... This need to rush others while "taking your time" is annoying. Beancounter, + DrownedBoy, Jostar and 1 other 2
Whippoorwill
Young people are definitely more casual about time and appointments than I was taught to be. A few years ago, around 5 pm I asked a young employee (college grad, several years solid work experience) what he was doing after work. He said "Oh it's my birthday, I think I'll have a party." I asked if he had invited people, and he said no, but he would send out a text, and they would meet at a bar. I couldn't believe it. The next day I asked him how it went, and he said around 25 people showed up. Clearly these people had nothing scheduled but just went with the flow. When I was middle-aged I had a job that involved lots of public events. My younger staff and I always laughed that "old people always show up early." Yup. And now that I am old, I show up places early. TorontoDrew and + DrownedBoy

Some of it is entitlement, as if they feel they personally "don't need to" be on time. A certain Chicago RM was discussed awhile ago, and he was often hours late (one guy said he scheduled for 9 p.m., but he didn't even text until 3 a.m.). When I contacted him and rather politely asked him to be on time, he totally went off on me, like he was on drugs. He went on an angry monologue that ended with, "You know, I don't feel like coming tonight! Maybe tomorrow!". Hahaha, hell no! I read that young kids are so oblivious to time, that managers were encouraged to compliment younger workers for actually showing up on time. When I had my first job, after 2 days in a row when I was 5 minutes late, the boss told me to start arriving earlier or not to bother coming back. Discipline is the thing Gen Z lacks. Enronnja
The fact that you can kill someone in 5 minutes, would make 15 minutes are massacre. If they don't show up in 2 minutes or there to greet you by the elevator, call it a loss and move on. coriolis888

I hope people are more patient with you than you claim in this forum to be with escorts! Edited July 14, 2023 by marylander1940
