For you guys who travel to other cities (independent of client invitation)... Philadelphia seems to be overlooked or is there another reason you don't visit?

Well funny you should mention it because I've just been looking at airfares and train schedules to Philadelphia. I've only briefly passed through Philadelphia but have always wanted to get to know what seems to be an underappreciated gem of a city.

 

With decent air service and relatively good (for the US) train service I don't know why I much less others haven't made a habit of visiting.

 

Hotels certainly seem cheap compared with NYC.

I stayed in Philly for a few days for a convention a few years ago and found that there seemed to be a nice but small selection of choice escorts there -- but the best all seemed hooked up with a particular service, which featured "visiting escorts" on its website. Is that all gone now?

Yes... we are a single service town who have out of town guests every now and again. It's a well run service but the choices are too often some version of vanilla.

Premier is an excellent agency, but their roster doesn't change much--they still advertise guys that I hired there in the last century--so for locals who like variety, it can get boring. When I lived in Philly, I actually did more hiring in New York.

Well I'm back from a short but sweet visit to Philadelphia. I spent most of my time walking around Center City from Logan Square to Rittenhouse to Washington, Franklin square and the old city, back and forth and in between.

 

Had a fabulous cheesesteak from a cart on the street, tasty snacks in Chinatown, too many espressos in the old city, and all kinds of good food all over the place.

 

Rode trains starting with the very convenient R1 from the airport to downtown, and including a very scenic ride accross the river on PATCO to Camden.

 

Hopefully I'll be back in Philadelphia sometime in the next month or two.

Saw a very nice gentleman who I don't think is on this site. It was a short but very fun appointment. And at risk of sounding immodest I'm sure he'll see me again.

 

Unfortunately a couple other appointments were cancelled at the last minute. I got a lot of inquiries especially while at the airport waiting for my flight to return to Chicago.

 

Still Philadelphia was phun enough that I'll be back sometime quite soon.

So maybe the right strategy is to announce your arrival and departure as 2 days earlier than what you actually have scheduled.

Philly is a diamond in the rough. Not a big diamond or particularly nice diamond, but still a diamond. I gave Philly a shot in October and did alright. I'll return, but it's not a huge priority.

I usually include a stop in Philly on my east coast tours, but it's pretty hit or miss for me. Sometimes I make good money in Philly but often I end up canceling my hotel reservation and skipping directly from NYC to Baltimore or vice-versa.

 

I love Philly, but DC, Baltimore, NYC & even Harrisburg are more reliable places to make money, in my opinion.

 

That said, I'm planning to stop in Philly for a day on my next tour of the USA. I always give her a shot!!! Let's see what happens this time around... my first time touring Philly in the "guys" side of the market.
