Met up with this guy in San Diego today. VERY hot and nice guy but agreed to meet for a certain price and services and then after a 10 minute massage was told anything else is extra and that he doesn't even do (ever) some of the things he said he would because he is "straight"; basically he will only be serviced. Of course he collects the initial part up front so you are pretty much in the middle of the session and it's either pay more or leave. He kindly takes CashApp or Venmo for your convenience for the additional funds.

I would definitely stay away unless you re fine with a 15 min massage. Very bummed about this whole experience and has me questioning if I will ever meet up with someone off RM again :(

That’s really messed up. I’m sorry he took advantage of you. It’s commonplace the whole bait-and-switch, then try to extort you in person routine. Many don’t give a massage for the whole time, say 10, 15, 30 mins tops, much less a quality massage. Or even a massage at all!

Thank you for reporting him here. He won’t last long if he’s treating people this way. For every one of you, there are probably a handful of others who give in to the extortion tactics, sadly. Otherwise there wouldn’t be a motive or market for this kind of provider behavior. Eventually it will catch up to him, it always does.

He’s not a masseur. From his RM profile:

“Fitness Model & Content Creator”

Be wary of ads like this. They are MODELS, not masseurs. That’s the service, not massage. You’re paying to be in close proximity to someone pretty and/or an influencer somewhat “famous” (not really). He’s similar to a stripper in that sense, except these guys don’t dance or even create a fun atmosphere. He’s used to being put on a pedestal online for his content creation which he curates no doubt together with other hotties. It’s a narcissistic echo chamber. Nothing wrong with creating content and getting paid for it. But there’s a great deal wrong with marketing yourself as a masseur and offering nothing resembling that service, and extortion for promised but not provided services to boot.

Seems a stretch to say he doesn’t do xyz. His profile has hole flexing videos for crying out loud! Apparently everything is on offer, but probably only for outrageous prices, I’m sure. Any idea what he was charging for typical escort services?

If you’re in San Diego again, come see me. I will give you a high quality massage, be upfront about everything, and follow through on it. No games, no guesswork, no pressured upselling nonsense. FYI I’m moving back there in a few months, in August 2023.

I hope that you will write a review and post it on rentmen, if you are a rentmen "(premium member)".

Deceptive advertisements, like this guy has, should be disclosed via a review and posted to the providers'  advertisement regardless if the client is paying rentmen a fee to have a so-called premium acccount.

By requiring clients to pay a fee to post a review (most rentmen clients are not paying users), rentmen actually contributes to these scam-type advertisements.

Clients are receiving a major disservice from rentmen because of rentmen's restriction of not allowing provider reviews except from paying rentmen clients.

I know I should post a review; just not that comfortable having my personal and billing information on a site like that :(. Would def be worth the $19.95 though!

That monthly amount equals almost $240.00 a year from clients who hire providers advertising on rentmen.

Without the above mentioned payment to rentmen, a client review is rejected by rentmen and not posted.

Shame on rentmen.  Their new policy encourages providers to not perform as advertised on their rentmen ad.

Too bad the U.S. has so many bizarre laws that encourage rentmen to take advantage of both providers and clients.

There's another post on this but it is frustrating. I posted some reviews for the benefit of other potential clients. I think it enhanced Rentmen's value. I was willing to spend $10 a month but not $20. It reminds of that graph in Economics 101 at which consumers will change behavior. As a result I dropped premium.

Thank you! I'm in LA and had my eye on him.

I just now realized I met with this guy back in December when he was using a different name and someone else’s pictures on his RM ad. Everyone’s comment is exactly what I experienced. What a waste of time and money! I hope that people will not fall into his trap. And that he gets the karma he deserves.

He is one of those run-of-the-mill scammers. I reported this profile to RM a while back. They took it down then. But looks like he keeps coming back with different profile IDs. He also works with another yngr guy with some baseball related interests listed in the profile.

Model type pix, recent profile, min to no reviews, handlers operating from another state are classic signs. Ask for a recent selfie or recent stats, and the response will be something like "it's in the ad" - likely becuz the  handler is too lazy to look this up for this specific ad as he is busy to responding to many queries for many ads.
