I've seen in several posts, including this most recent that I noticed https://www.companyofmen.org/topic/138118-411-on-beny-in-la/?do=findComment&comment=2055355  about masseurs not having tables.  I've always assumed that if they offer out-calls, that they have a table, but was also asked today, "Do you have a table?"  Huh?  Me, as the client?  Why would I have a table?  Or, DO a lot of people who are getting massages actually have tables at home?  Has anyone gotten a massage without a table?  Have they just done it on the floor or bed?

I don’t do outcalls but ya, I would assume he’d come with a table.

That said, I have a friend who bought his own table for this reason, plus he’s able to solve the visiting masseur who offers an incall on the hotel bed.

I have one, as a tool for exercises learned in PT. I rarely host, but if I want an outdoor massage in a private garden, I can save the provider the trouble. I ask “what height do you need it to be?”
A lot of the extra $ for massage outcall is the time of breaking down table at home, loading it into vehicle, getting it to client residence (parking? steps? elevator? neighbors?) setting up, breaking down… whether eliminating those aspects for the provider translates into extra value for the client, that’s up to you.

I do outcalls and I have a table. I offer the client the choice, bring my table, or use the bed. A few clients have their own table at home but most of my out calls are to the client’s hotel, so in those cases I take my table or they ask to use the bed.

In some London hotels the rooms are small and there’s not always space to set up the table so the bed is the only option. Although a recent client I saw at a top hotel in Knightsbridge had a very large suite so there was plenty of space for dozens of tables!!

He chose to go for the bed option which was useful because my table isn’t very portable. The logistics of me getting it around London are challenging especially if I drive. When I replace it I’ll get a more portable one.

Massage on the bed is ok but I think you get a better massage if it’s on a table tbh. Bed is ok if you like the massage to have more body contact and it often develops into an escort style session. In my studio for in calls I can either offer the table or do a massage on the floor (on a Futon).

I think if you’re serious about doing out calls as a masseur you really do need to have a portable table.

Perhaps you might want to get a portable one and keep it in your car or closet for outcalls.  That is, if you have enough outcalls to make it worthwhile.   Just an idea.

That’s exactly what I do! Except my portable table is a bit too large and too heavy to properly be described as portable. I like a big table because I mount it during massage but it’s not ideal for carrying.

I keep it in my car but the problem with driving in London is the parking. Some hotels don’t have parking on site and street parking is random.

I caved in and picked one up off of Amazon.  +/- $150, including the sheet set I got.  No idea where I'll store it, but now at least I have the option. ;)
