I've done it several times both as dom and sub and is one of my favorite things to do in bondage.  It's not bad @liubit if done properly with the right candles.  It can be quite dangerous if you use something with a high melting point which could cause severe burns.  The cheaper unscented white paraffin candles work best like votives which allow for a brief heavy pour or pillars which can be used for longer pours.  The kind you can buy on a BDSM site are usually much more expensive and not that great also lacking the intensity of cheaper candles.  The anticipation, the feeling of the first pours on your chest then nipples, the feel of it running down your sides is amazing. 

Boynapped does a lot of scenes with wax play and some are very long and intense.  Nothing hotter (pun intended) than seeing a young smooth twink tortured and covered in wax.
