From what I know, the farewell is based on him transitioning to other full-time work (from his current position) and the sale of his house with his divorce. Both of those are variables that may have him coming back again.

I spoke with him recently in the past few days. He's fine and working his regular job a lot and taking care of his family. I couldn't either so when ordering dinner at this very good restaurant, I opted for an excellent fresh fish which was shown to me before it was taken away to be grilled. I had one glass of white wine and some Perrier water. No dessert. I think Trev had a bouliabaise with lobster. I can't remember what the other escort had but it was probably fish as well. 

This was in a top ranked Montreal restaurant and the portions were sensible but not extravagant. Certainly not what you would see in many American restaurants.

When we walked back to the hotel I did not feel stuffed. That came later. 😆
