I’ve hired a few escorts in the past few years who have made excellent porn videos with others….but were less “imaginative” on a one-on-one session. It’s given me a greater appreciation for the qualities of the director.

Have any of you experienced porn stars who were much better in private settings?

I'm sure you know this, but Hollywood is not real life!  Clever camera angles, phony moaning and groaning, perfectly-timed wildly-productive orgasms, and that silly under-crotch spotlight (!) are among the clever tricks that director uses to sell his videos. I've met with porn stars who exceeded their  professional 'work' and other stars who didn't at all. 

You just gotta make that meeting your own, make sure the provider is also having fun, communicate,  and don't be distracted by silly porn fantasies and Hollywood magic.

I would say I've had mixed result with porn-star escorts. Most are great and actually a lot of fun and often into a lot of different stuff.

For a few of them, I think it might be a bit of "ego." Like they are such big stars and can't be bothered to provide a good experience for the client. Often it's really the scheduling/contacting where this shows as it can be quite hard to actually get a hold of them and meet up with them. Though to me it can also be a bit in the performance too. None have been terrible but definitely have had a few that were kinda just going through the motions and maybe not as into as much as I thought they would be. I met one guy that did a lot of a bottoming in porn but didn't want to bottom with me mostly I think he didn't want to douche.

But mostly it's been pretty good. Like 75% it was great and 25% it was a bit more mediocre (though only in one case would I call it bad).

I've only engaged a handful of porn stars, and all were at least adequate sex partners; one was exceptional. But three of them gave off a sad kind of vibe, or so it seemed to me. Of course, it could have been my imagination. Each of these three seemed somewhat sad that they were only wanted for their looks and for sex, rather than for the people and personalities they really were; one of them practically said as much. I don't think I did anything to foster that feeling in any of them and ascribe it to the nature of their profession. I suppose the same may be true for some non-porn escorts, too. I would guess those that feel that way don't stay in that line of work for long. Such feelings could account for the lackluster performances of some partners.

I believe that you are correct in thinking that some escorts are appreciative that they are wanted for their body and sex appeal but also would like to have people recognize other qualities that make them attractive.  Some escorts are adept and highlighting those other qualities in their ads or in their personality.  Russ from Brooklyn is an escort who comes to mind who I hired as much for his great, funny ad as I hired him for his great muscular body.  

I usually try appreciate the person and not just the body, even when the body is amazing.  I go out of my way to try to recognize qualities other than appearance and to comment on them.  It makes my interactions with the escort more personal and has led to long term good relationships with many of the men I have hired.  

As. for sexual imagination, I try to bring  to bed (or wherever the sex may lead us) an open mind, unafraid of new ideas and with plenty of fun considerations for his approval and most of the escorts I have hired have done the same.
