All of a sudden, when I start to log in, I am getting full screen porn site ads, which I have to close before logging in.  Some are pretty nasty.  Is this really necessary?

I just signed in on my iPad and the same full screen porn site ad came up, which I had to close before being able to log in.  I do understand why non-members are subject to ads.

Ads are only shown while not logged into the site. I’m experimenting with a couple of different ad networks in order to determine which produces better income.  It’s not a popup, but instead an interstitial overlay that should be dismissible without loading another page. (Popups cause entirely new browser windows to open.) The interstitial ad should display once per 8 minutes.

Anyone logged in with a valid username/password does not see any sort of ads.

Yes but I’ve still got to see them before I can log in!  Boo! Hiss!!

All good, but something different now causes a graphic porn ad to pop up, not when I navigate to and open our page but when I click “sign in”.

It has nothing to do with signin. You should never receive an interstitial ad on the first page, but could happen anytime after that.  The logic is time based (every 8 minutes to be exact). It’s not aware of the page itself when triggering.

I’m thinking about trying to get our original ad program reaccepted for this site. (When we changed domains, even though the content did not change the new domain has to be reapproved and they’re giving it difficulty because of a few forums.

I might try hiding those forums to guests instead and see if it can be approved. If not…

OK.  I have disabled ALL ads site wide for now.   I've also resubmitted an application for the same program we used on the original m4m-forum domain.  To help with approval, I have made the public gallery and everything inside of Daddy's Den not available to guests.  In order to view these, you need to be logged into the site with your username/password.

How do guests (prospective members) know that there are additional forum topics they're not seeing?

OK.  The site has been re-approved.  I've enabled ads once again for GUESTS.  These are the same type that had been on the site most of last year under the m4m-forum.org domain.  As a result, I have re-enabled access to the forums under Daddy's Den and undone many of my changes from earlier.
