I will not even presume to make an uninformed criticism on HB's decisions to do what he thinks is necessary to keep this site up and running as a viable forum for both escorts and the clients who hire them. I have been coming here only since last October 2002, but even I knew that there was a forum for escorts only, as I think most people here were aware of, but I knew that only based on what has been posted on other threads on the message center, and if those had not been posted, I would not have known of that forum. Even now that I know it exists, and I assume no longer does, I do not care to know or ever would, what the escorts discuss among themselves, whether that is sharing trade secrets, trashing in fun their fellow escorts or warning other escorts of "bad clients".

 

Regardless of whether the contents of that forum were discussed here or not, is beside the point. I can only assume, since it was by invitation only, that it was a service that HB provided the escorts, on the condition that it was not discussed in the general forum.

 

I am not an attorney, but given the "let's sue anyone for anything" mentality of modern America, I guess the revelation of confidential client information, could leave HB liable to law suits both in a business sense and personally. Given the ease of internet access, it would be relatively simple for a client to gain access to that forum especially since they are already here in the main message center. At the very least he was protecting the escorts from "client prying". Do the escorts think it would have cost them any business if their clients gained access to that forum and read negative, derisive or worse comments about them???

 

I think HB has gone out of his way to provide protection to the escorts, not only via this private forum, but also by giving them the final say via "rebuttal" to any client reviews posted on this site. That IMO, is a valuable service to the escorts, as many clients, myself included, would not hire an escort that is not well reviewed/discussed on this site. IMO, at the very least, the escorts should respect HB's wishes on this issue, as I truly believe this site is an invaluable marketing tool for the escorts.

 

At the same time, I believe that HB realizes that this business is a two way street and that he is also obligated to provide a reasonable amount of confidentiality and discretion to the clients. This site has taken a lot of the "guess work" out of hiring escorts and IMO is the greatest thing to come along in the escort/client business. HB deserves the unmitigated support of both escorts and clients alike!

 

I hope, in private to the escorts only, that he provides them their own personal forum again, as I can only imagine how very dangerous it is to go with some client who is psycho, or worse, and how important it would be to communicate that information among the escorts! If he does that, then extend to him the same discretion and respect he extends to both the escorts and the clients AND NOT ADVERTISE THE FACT!

 

Just my opinion and I know I should just mind my own business, but I think HB is great, and don't want to see anything jeopardize him personally or jeopardize or detract from this site.

You obviously didn't read the Escorts Only forum much or at all. Most threads had NOTHING to do with clients. The ones that mentioned clients didn't reveal personal info. You would have had to have been contacted by said client or have had seen them to know who they were from the cryptic details given. It was the rare thread that pertained to a client. Weeks would go by without ANY new posts in that forum.

 

Of course you're totally ignoring the point that this forum HAD BEEN MENTIONED numerous times in the past as pointed out by other posters here. When did its mere existence become TOP SECRET and IF the rules said not to discuss the Escorts Only forum on the other forums, WHY NOW is this being enforced???

 

Would someone who actually knows the answer to this care to comment?

"At all" is the correct option. It's a private club and even moderators don't have access.

 

This is a lot like a Microsoft beta test program. Anyone who comments is risking getting cut off and anyone who does comment probably doesn't know what they're talking about in the first place.

 

Them that know can't say and them that say probably don't know, and it's probably best left that way.

Ultimately, this is Hooboy's site and he can attach all the strings (make all the rules) that he wants. We can choose to participate if we agree to the rules. Nothing forces us to be here; we are his guests.

 

With that said, just what is the big deal of an escort only forum!? I've known of its existence for a very long time. It's never bothered me; why should it? And it sounds like a good idea for the escorts ... a forum for them to talk about ideas or problems they encounter as an escort that maybe only other escorts would understand.

 

I guess I don't see why it had to be so ultra-secret. If non-escorts don't like it, too bad!

I don't understand either. I knew about it from stuff I had read WAY back on this site, and I don't mind it -- and I'm a client. At the time, I remember posting (or emailing HooBoy) that I'd like to see HooBoy confirm "bad reviews" of clients with the clients if he had their email address and to the degree that was practical. In any case, as with most things on this board, much ado about nothing.

Well, I don't drink, maybe I forgot to take my meds. They have a fancy word for my depression, personally I think it is just a hoax. We are too medicated too comfortably numb so to speak in the Country. It is time we all step back and took a look at our life, how we feel it is going, what direction we want to head in and what we can do to move us in that direction.

 

This Message Center is a great resource for those of us who enjoy hiring escorts. There is a wealth of information to be found here and elsewhere on the site. The idea of having client reviews is amusing yet not all that interesting. I don't want to read that my favorite escort was faking it when he told the client how well he sucked or whatever. I want the fantasy to stay in tact. The less I know about an escorts real feelings the better it usually is. After all when one goes to Jack In The Box for a burger do you really care how the drive through kid feels about the secret sauce? Well, if he is 18 & cute I guess I do, bad example.

 

Anyway, I don't recall writing the above post about the escort's forum. I believe as before that deej is posting under my name. I learned my lesson last time I brought that forum to light, HooBoy, hit me with his stick and it hurt.

 

It doesn't matter to me about an escort only forum. There is no reason why there should not be one and no reason why it is anybody's business to know what goes on in there ... except the people who belong there.

:o I was thinking about asking HooBoy about some kind of resource where escorts can post feedback on clients? I see some inherant conflicts with this such as alienation of some visitors, but I have run into some concerning issues here and there:

 

1. Clients who make appointments and then flake out entirely.

 

2. Clients who short escorts on fees.

 

Mind you, every client I have actually met with has been pleased with only one exception, but that was discussed in another posting long ago.

 

I never expect to OUT anyone by their e-mail or what have you. I was just thinking.... I thought I would share my thoughts and see if anyone else felt the same? :7
