OK. I'm new at this and I just got my 2nd positive review and was flooded with inquires.

 

This is just an observation so I hope I don't offend anyone but in my review my telephone is not listed only my email.

 

Why do clients expect an escort to be able to make an appointment ASAP. All day I've had propective clients who want an appointment NOW. One client emailed my at 8AM saying that he wanted me for "breakfast". I didn't get his email until 10AM and I was at my job. I called him and asked if he wanted to schedule for later. He said I could call him and see...well I called him and his roommate at the hotel said he was napping so I left my telephone and he never called.

 

But again I've been getting emails saying they want an appointment this evening or tomorrow morning but they don't give me a telephone so I can only contact them by email. Isn't that cutting it rather close? I mean I can understand if my telephone is listed and they call me right away but who knows when I check my email (I do check it rather frequently) and even if I answered the email right away....the client might not check his email until the next day.

 

So far, most of these "type" of inquires have end with no appointment at all. The main reason I ask is I'm trying to manage all these requests. Up to this point I haven't been THAT busy and today alone I have answered at least a dozen or more emails.

 

By the way I kept my evening open for this guy and he never called back. Another guy wanted to schedule for this evening and luckily I was able to schedule him for tomorrow. I mean realistically...should I ever "hold" an evening open for someone who is "iffy" when I might be able to fill that position right away?

 

Would appreciate any suggestions or insights...

An Escort Answers

 

1. I have a standard e-mail that I customize to each person ("I travel to San Francisco but I don't rent a car, so if you are in the suburbs I can only see you at my hotel room"). In your e-mail, you might say I am only available from ____ to ____ p.m. in the evenings and whatever else you are being commonly asked. You can also post any other information they should know (although I would caution you from discussing rates and attaching rates to particular services in writing).

 

This should help cut down on the amount of time you may spend and you may find yourself writing mainly original e-mail's to everyone but the "boilerplate" will help you in that process.

 

2. Hoo Boy is a very busy man and sometimes reads through his e-mail's very quickly, but if you send him a polite e-mail with the subject line: BEN - Anytown, USA Escort - Profile Update and ask that he include your telephone number on your reviews, he will be happy to do so. He will also post newer photographs, update e-mail addresses, update your age information, etc.

 

3. You need to set a policy on tentative appointments. I advise a client, if he is new, and will not commit, hat I can only "pencil him in" and if another gentlemen makes a firm request, he will get the appointment. The exception I make is with regulars. They may set tentative appointments with me, except on weekends.

 

4. I personally prefer advance notice appointments but I do take short notice appointments. If escorting is a part-time thing for you, you need to decide what your policy is. This is my full time profession at the moment, but I do have a number of other things, and I do not often short myself (i.e., dinner plans, gym classes, other non-escort appointments.) If I have plans to do a yoga class, I go, unless there is a comparable class I can take at a later date.
