As a client, I often wonder why emails asking for an appointment are not answered. I always state what I am looking for (nothing weird ever), what time and date I am looking to get together, and a description of myself (very valid and NOT a turn off). Most escorts do reply but I am finding many more times when they go unanswered. A simple reply of "I am not available at the time you are looking for" would suffice. In the meantime, I as the potential client am trying to set something up for a specific time and scramble around for an alternative or another option. Just a plea to say no, or if away, turn on the "Out of Office" auto reply.

I bet a lot of escorts don't realize that when many clients travel, they aren't taking their laptops or just don't have the time to be setting these things up "once they arrive in (your city), since they are usually traveling for business. The convenience of setting up a couple of weeks ahead, or even a week ahead is enormous.

Obviously from the escorts point of view, things come up and there may have to be a cancellation or two--cell phones fill that gap. ( I suspect some don't want to keep a calendar and be tied down to it--their call.) If there are too many cancellations by one escort, then maybe he has a problem, but as clients we can handle a change in scheduling once in a while.

But from the clients view, having a date lined up before he leaves his desktop is a BIG convenience. Just food for thought (maybe :)

Dunno if hotmail has it, but you're on the right track. It's gonna vary from service to service.

Even if you set up an Outlook auto-reply rule, Outlook has to be running to know that a message has arrived in order to issue an auto-reply.

People who work in large corporate environments don't realize it, but it's actually their mail *server* that enables auto-replies.

Too many of them have to crawl out of a k-hole to get to their computer.

Helpfully yours,

I find that the guys who are well reviewed here They approach what they do as a business and answer email very quickly :) .

The guys who are slower are either new or simply what I refer to as once in a while escorts. The kids who just need some extra cash and are more selective :( and not as serious.

This is definitely the case sometimes, Huey. I know that I was very lucky to get JJ STutz who I just reviewed. He was fucking fantastic! But he must only answer 10% of his emails, and only when he needs the cash. If you have the patience for that kind of thing, you can sometimes hit the jackpot, like I did with JJ. But you really can't always have the patience for that kind of thing!

The new Beta version of Yahoo (and perhaps the premium service) offers a "vacation response" which is akin to an "Out of Office response." I know because I have received this, from among others, Matt in Vancouver. I cannot imagine that Hot Mail, in Microsoft's pursuit to remain competitive, would not offer somthing similar. In the new Yahoo, it is free.

Yahoo also allows you to receive all your mail in one place. I personally prefer not to do it, but I do know that the Email service which came with my new IBook, is similar to Outlook and I could receive my AOL and Yahoo mail all addressed to me. I also know from the Twinks that there is software for both Macs and Windows computers which allow you to receive mail from say your own personal web site, AOL, Hot Mail and Yahoo, all at once, breaking it down by folders so you know where the mail came from and to.

This is why I keep the Twinks around. Unfortunately Rick, other than offering to have one come over to Manhattan to set this all up for you (which will require some Jiffy Popcorn bribes, lots of wet lube and late night movie parties, currently featuring the films starring or directed by Ida Lupino, preferably on DVD), you are on your own.

Cool! You're right of course. If Yahoo's free mail service has it, Hotmail won't be far behind.

Now if they'll just do away with spam. <sigh>

Well, just how many is too many? Are your statistics from an online poll or individual research? Does the poll have built-in safety features to prevent cheating? Are you sure it is a k-hole, and not just a hole?

How does one "crawl" out of a k-hole, anyway?:)

I use Yahoo mail and I believe it is now out of Beta :) I find it far better and more generous on features than Hotmail.

Do you Yahoo?

It is essentially out of Beta but they still call it the Beta version. Some of the Javascript functions (I truely have no clue, I am just typing what the nice Twink tells me to type) require Netscape 6 or higher and it DOES NOT work with Opera so Mac Users who are unwilling to upgrade to the Netscape Carbon version are kind of fucked. The new advertisements are annoying, including the "pop behind" window, and flash intensive, so this is a factor for escorts or clients with older browsers and dial up service.

It does have a bunch of great features. The twinks are all Hot Male users and they complain the spend more time delete spam and junk mail than answering real mail. All I have to do is "empty" my Yahoo bulk mail folder, which takes me all of ten seconds.
