I have been curious what name do escorts use when with each other socially. For example purposes only I was reading Devon's diary where he met some escorts in Las Veags recently. When he met Adam did he go by Adam or his real name? Did Devon use Devon or his real name? Anyway, you all get the idea. Just wondering how you deal with this in a social setting?

It varies. A lot depends on how they meet, I think.

 

Porn stars have to deal with this all the time too and it can lead to some humorous conversations:

 

"Have you seen Michael around tonight?"

"Yeah, he's right over there"

"No, I meant <insert porn name>"

"Oh, I think he and Tom are off together"

"Really, I thought they hated each other"

 

At this point, you have to resolve who "Tom" is (and, of course, dish about the hating each other stuff once you've sorted out who's who). ;-)

 

I was hanging around with a bunch of the guys at an event a couple years ago and the conversation got REALLY hard to follow because between stage names and real names we had four guys who would respond to Andrew and, of those, two would also respond to Drew.

 

It's a constant source of confusion whether dealing with rentboys or pornboys. They stumble on it themselves.

anyway, like another guy said, it probably depends on the situation and the guy.....I'd say most times between me and another scort, we use our ...oh, how did one guy put it...? our nom de plume...however, as I get to know them better, we just casually switch back and forth I guess.

Well, this brings up another question (probably good for another thread): How often DO escorts meet each other (I'm not talking about those already in relationships with each other)? Do you guys have conventions? Bowling leagues? Mixers where you wear name tags and clink glasses of husky Merlot over canapes, exchanging business cards?
