Overnight I've developed problems with playing videos on the ThisVid.com website. Problem applies to all videos I try to play. Problem started with a "Privacy Violation" notice (don't remember actual wording) but would not even connect me to a video. Now, I get connected to the site, but every video starts with a still flash of content them immediately goes to the message "html5: video file not found". Google search does show possible solutions, some apparently related to "credentials" sent to the website but not being recognized. Not being a techie, the suggested solutions make it seem easier for me to learn Mandarin and start watching Chinese porn from now on.

Anyone experience same/similar problems or can offer insights or solutions? All other porn sites I visit are working fine.

A day or two before my problem began, I had choices of "update and turn off" or "update and restart" [no option to not update] when I went to turn off my PC, so the update was installed. Anyone else experiencing this issue remember undergoing a recent update before the problems started?

I've never used the thisvid website before, but checked it out just now.....I'm also getting the "html5: video file not found" message a half-second after clicking on any video (as you, a very quick still picture flash happens at first.)....

yes, I did have an auto-update (Windows, I guess) about four or so days ago when turning off my desktop.....this is a normal thing that happens every few weeks, of course, and I thought nothing of it......nothing else has been amiss since the update, though.....

Found this article after searching for "HTML 5 video not found"

I think this article is helpful if someone is generally having problems playing videos.  In this case, however, with only one website being problematic it seems like the issue is with that website.  The easiest solution is simply to watch videos on a different website until thisvid is fixed by its administrators.

Great news from robear! Checked out the site myself and it's now working fine. With reports of others having the same problem, it seemed likely less a problem with my connection and more like something wrong at the other end.  maninsoma's insight was spot on, to wait "until thisvid is fixed by its administrators."

Well, at least I had a little time to rest my sore wrist.😉

Is thisvd generally OK to use? The couple times I tried I got some feeling that wasn't secure and didn't continue, I can' explain why I'm just generally very cautious.

I watch thisvid quite a lot because they have a ton of content. The only problem I've had with the site is that they're pretty aggressive at deleting videos for whatever reasons.

I've visited thisvid for years without negative incident, both viewing and downloading content. As with all porn sites, I think it's doubly important to be sure your protection is in full force: VPN, firewall/anti-virus, popup blocker, etc.  And of course, creating a completely anonymous account at the site without any identifying information.

Thanks for the info.
