Men's beach volleyball attire

I saw a little bit of a women's match, and all of the athletes were wearing thong bottoms (or specifically rio back with the entirety of the lower buttocks exposed). Why don't men wear the same thing, for ease of movement, not to mention massively higher ratings? Many companies manufacture them, and I've bought quite a few in my lifetime, although I've never played volleyball since junior high school.

I assumed the women's attire was for ratings.  Do the skimpy bikinis actually help performance?

As much as I'd love to see the guys in Speedos, I'd be OK with board shorts since that'll what most guys wear to the beach.  But come on, could they at least lose the shirts?!

Pro sports is designed for men to watch, exclusive of men who like watching men.

I loved the full thigh exposure of ‘70s basketball shorts. Now, between leggings plus two pairs of shorts, and long sleeve jerseys … there’s not a square cm of bare flesh below the neck. 

WTF are these heroes afraid of? They have, each and every one of them, sent nudes already.

Uniform should be speedo bottoms...

Or go back to Ancient Olympic tradition and they should all be nude.

My goodness, these are supposed to be the best athletes on the planet, we should all celebrate their bodies.
