>We've lived with it for 7 years. That's enough for me!

And we may be facing four to eight more years of the same with John McCain.

If Obama loses because he's black -- and that is the elephant, or herd of elephants, in the room -- it will be a disgrace to the nation. And a loss of what may be our last chance at survival.

Lankypeters, Let's try to keep this thread in the Lounge. If you want to talk politics/upcoming elections, take it to the appropriate forum. This is a thread about an Oliver Stone film coming out in the Fall. Thanks, Cooper

Lankypeter, the guidelines for this Forum clearly state "NO POLITICS..."

It's your choice if you want to share your political opinions on Obama and McCain in the "appropriate forum".

Thanks,

Cooper

True, but the link in the original post takes you to a YouTube clip where many of the comments are very political. So, to be a real rule stickler, shouldn't this whole thread be in the Politics forum anyway? :p (As a matter of fact, since so many of our discussions seem to get political lately, I say we move the entire Message Center into the Politics forum.) :+ (Is there a rule against overusing smilies?)

Rick, We must be viewing a completely different trailer for "W". There are no political comments in the one I'm viewing. It's short clips of "W" from early years to present, what "comments" are you talking about? "We're not Kennedys'??? Cooper

It would be nice if subsequent posters to a thread honored the intent of the original poster. If he wanted a political thread, he knows where the politics forum is. If you want a political thread, you know where the politics forum is. Start your own!!

All EXPAT said was, "I have to see this." How do you know what his original intent was? Are you one of Dionne Warwick's psychic friends? :+

On YouTube, people post comments about the clips...scroll down and you'll see there are currently 238 comments, many of which are quite political.

Example:

greenbeaverfilms (43 minutes ago)

You gotta love the hypocricy of left-wing nut job artists. They claim to speak up against corruption, but when their party gets in power, their silence is deafening. All of a sudden, corruption is wiped off the phase of the earth, until of course, a Republican comes to power again. If you are against corruption, be against corruption, not just when it's convenient for your agenda.

What I find interesting about the trailer and about what I have read about the film is the transformation that a young guy who can't hold a job, drinks too much, defies authority can rise to unbelievable heights as he/she becomes an adult. That should be a fascinating story by itself regardless of who it is. However, who it is, will make it more interesting.
