In general a drug user is not THAT dangerous unless is experiencing dementia, hallucinations and aggression at the same time.

I would be more concerned by the exposure to the substance, either in smoke, kissing, or if it's laced in a drink or lubricant.

I don't usually ask about drug use, but if I did I would probably NOT ask "are you a drug user?" I'd probably ask whether they get into PNP.
