Unfortunately, it all is because of this scheduling plan of the vaccine distribution and when they will give them out. My center has scheduled me at the end of March and then the second dose is 28 days later. Then I have to wait the waiting time for full immunity to kick in. I guess I should consider myself lucky I am getting it. Things will get better after that. We still have to wear masks and practice distancing but hopefully that will end soon too. Please have fun for me.

Kudos @TruthBTold for making a thoughtful and informed decision. This quarantine has been long and rough for us all, and many people would be quick to grasp at an opportunity for a "get-a-way" BEFORE receiving their vaccine and having that protection. Palm Springs will be there NEXT year at which point you will have the protection AND peace of mind to truly take full advantage of the festivities and enjoy yourself with others.
