To Breed or Not to be Bred...That is the Question

Being relatively new to the world of gay relations (started January this year), I am fascinated by the concept of raw or bareback sex. While there may be different opinions on this, and hence this thread, I wonder if there is that much of a difference with having safe sex (e.g., with condoms) vs. doing it raw. For a top, it appears one could just cum into the condom and feel the same sensation, and for a bottom, would one really feel someone's cum inside? Some say that the sensation is totally different, and perhaps I was doing it wrong when I had my first BB but it did not feel any different than when someone is using a condom. Maybe it is a YMMV or do it at your own risk type of discussion, but curious to understand the forum's thoughts on the topic.

Until PrEP, I would always get topped with a condom (except once). Since I’m on PrEP, I strongly prefer and shop for bareback. I definitely feel the difference. As far a breed verse non-breeding, I also prefer breeding. Only once have I felt the guy actually come. I just like the idea of having a piece of my partner inside. Once I had the experience of losing the load a day later. It was exciting and kind of let me relive the experience all over again.

There's definitely a difference for the top, at least for me. I love the feeling of raw sex, but sex with a condom is usually less "stimulating". It takes me a lot longer to cum, if I can cum at all using a condom. I think bottoms can definitely feel the more powerful ejaculations. Personally, when I'm bottoming, I rarely can tell the difference between being fucked by a guy wearing a condom vs. being fucked bareback. One time the guy fucking me removed the condom and I had no idea.

Yes, I can definately tell the difference between a raw cock and a covered one inside of me.

Having said that, It is about personal choice and responsibility, and comfort level with the risks and a harm reduction strategy. PrEP/TasP may eliminate HIV risk, but also frequent testing for the other things is important when barebacking.
