Which cities outside of NYC and LA do you think a tall handsome all-american college boy, with piercing blue eyes and smooth defined body, would get a lot of clients in? I would tell someone asking me for advice like this to first choose a place where they can really enjoy life... then consider the escorting income potential. He may be able to make a lot of money in NYC but if he doesn't like the city then life is miserable... or that even with the added income he still struggles to afford the cost of living.

This is the thing. He may get a lot of work in SF but hate the city or not be able to afford it. On the west coast you can fly to almost any west coast city for nearly nothing. He should figure out where he wants to live then work a work schedule around it.

Flying around makes no sense, if the point is for this guy to get situated in a good base. Flying around means expense and risk. Chicago or DC would make more sense than SF, LA, or NYC. LA requires a car and it takes for ever to get places. SF and NYC have gotten stratospherically expensive. DC is a good place for travelers because the local scene is so weak---a capable local could do well and probably meet people who'd want to travel him elsewhere. SD is a nice enough place, but it's really a medium sized metro (like Seattle), has a lots of competition, and is not a major business/conevntion destination.

The point I was trying to make was he shouldn’t pick a city just based on where he will get hired. He needs to live someplace he likes also.
