Which i am fine if the answer is that it's restricted to people with symptoms or who live in higher risk categories such as being a front line worker and routinely being potentially exposed

This is faulty though. For one it skews the results of positives. Secondly asymptomatic folks can transmit the virus allegedly. Everyone and anyone should be able to get tested. Especially if they’re willing to pay out of pocket.

I wasn't arguing your point. I was just saying that on the Company's website they specifically say that the test's used to be restricted to "frontline healthcare workers and first responders" but is now open more broadly "for all individuals who meet the screening criteria for COVID testing". And they then state before being able to get a test you have to submit answers to specific questions to make sure that you meet the "screening criteria" which was heavily questions about symptoms which i have none and am not a frontline healthcare worker or first responder.

And I wasn’t saying you were wrong. I’m saying the company’s policy is problematic.

I'm entertaining myself until there is a vaccine or a fool proof way to tell if myself and my escort are both safe. At my age I'm pretty much high risk. Then there's the trust issue, too. I won't travel either. Cramming people together on a plane seems insane at this point in time, and to find an escort I like I'd have to travel. On a positive note I now have more money available to make improvements to my home.

My regular and I are seriously reconsidering rescheduling our vacation that’s been rescheduled thrice now and just doing a lazy weekend on the beach...Not ideal but something. The vacation is purchased as are the plane tickets. So paradise will await us if things still are crazy...It’s more I was looking forward to just getting away for a few days...
