Little Shop of Horrors is a fun musical without much mental strain. I am considering watching that. The Ellen Greene one where she does an aching version of Somewhere That's Green. https://video.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?fr=yhs-dcola-015&hsimp=yhs-015&hspart=dcola&p=youtube+somewhere+that%27s+green#id=2&vid=0f0292268e3fef2b504757fac149a97b&action=click

IMHO the best cd recording of Pirates is the 1968 D’Oyly Carte version, directed by Isidore Godfrey. The sublime duet “Poor wand’ring one” between Frederic and Mabel may be as close to G&S heaven as you can get.

The best G&S film IMHO is the 1999 Jim Broadbent / Allan Corduner Topsy Turvy - a bio pic, more about Mikado than the others, but a great film. The film and video renditions of Pirates have all disappointed me.
