Some thoughts below: A “Stag Dance” for Cowboys. It is a known fact that homosexual friendships were common among cowboys. This begs the question, in any all male community, especially in the past, such as military, religious, penal, educational, do sexual relationships form among men because no women are available, or do men seek to join such communities for the sexual opportunities?
