Interesting and sad article about these guys, I have been to Tiergarten on several occasions but have to admit never noticed these guys.

A first grader could had written a more in depth article about these guys. And her photos shed very little light on what it's like.

Male trafficking and prostitution is hardly ever mentioned. It's always about woman. I understand that woman are trafficked more than men but the mens stories deserve to be told just as much as woman. This almost filled like an advert for her other works or a filler piece.

I liked the photographs. I think part of it is the photographer is being respectful of the privacy of these young men. But the picture of the boy with all the cuts from self-harm on his arm...that's very moving to me and definitely shows the perilous position of these young men in German society.

Maybe I missed some detail but the photo caption talked of the Taliban bombing his family. Perhaps the injuries were acquired then.

 

Certainly I’ve been in the Summer in Berlin and the Tiergarten but seen nothing of this. Berliners are quite pragmatic, and I had been warned by some Germans of foreign men having sex in public parks at night.
