Hi guys, question that I’m hoping someone can answer. Relatively new to this and always thought ranking providers with just stars and no commentary on RM wasn’t very helpful.

 

Tonight I read a thread that talked about comments being hidden for U.S. users and that you needed to create a VPN to fool the site that you’re not in the States. I did that and there were tons of reviews with comments.

 

So, my question is....why? Why are comments inaccessible for U.S. users? I know from reading other threads that there can be fake reviews on RM, but the commentary actually convinced me to either pursue or discontinue my interest in a few providers. You scroll through the reviews without comments and they all just blend into one without qualifying the rating. I had a mind-blowing experience last month with a provider and would have left a detailed review as to why he was a 5⭐️ provider if I was able.

I think it's based on the laws of the country you are viewing the rent men pages. Written reviews may spell out details. You'll also notice words like escort are usually changed to *** on the site.

You're preaching to the choir here. But it's safer for RM to be coy rather than run afoul of certain laws in the US. I don't believe the rules were written for the two consenting adults where no one is being coerced, but here we are. You do have to exercise a bit of nudge-nudge-wink-wink here and on RM.

Before 2016 you could find more information in the US about escorts, but more conservative lawmakers started imposing morals on the rest of us and passed laws that put open gay, sex-related information sites at risk. So, Daddy's Reviews was separated from M4M Message Forums, Rentmen no longer included escort rates for their range of services, and detailed reviews on Rentmen were hidden from US participants. Now you need to ask individual escorts about their rates and services, BUT more detailed reviews by Rentmen clients can be viewed by going to www.hideme.be. That site will allow you to read the more detailed Rentmen reviews, which are made available to clients outside of the US. Much cheaper than traveling outside the US to perform such research!

I'm used to being able to read the narrative comments on reviews while I'm at home in Australia and not being able to see them when I'm in the US. Before SESTA/FOSTA they were able to be read in the US. I was travelling with in New Zealand for the last two weeks with some US-based guys and they commented on the fact that they could see the comments. Escorts outside the US can post their rates on RM, unlike their American colleagues.

You know, I get the need for strict legislation to squash the sex slave and pedo traders. There’s a special place in hell for those bastards, but we are talking about consenting adults. It’s sad that our government can’t differentiate between the two. For a country that prides itself on personal freedoms and liberty, we can be so puritanical.
