This morning I checked out the profile of an escort on Rentmen. A few minutes later (after I had left the site) the escort sent me email saying that he is having a special today. I went back just now to reply, but I find that his profile is marked as Inaccessible. Am I correct that that means the escort has blocked me? Very strange.

that would be strange if he took the time to email you and then block you for no reason.

Maybe he's booked up today since he sent out that email to multiple men who viewed his ad, so he removed his ad from view. (I'm not a provider so I don't know how easy it is for a guy to hide his ad from everyone and then unhide it when he's available again.) I cannot see why he would block you specifically since it would be natural for someone to want to double check an ad under a circumstance like this.

If you took quite a bit of time to respond then he prob saw you read the message and he didn’t get a response from you so he blocked.

Except I hadn't read the message until I tried to respond to it. But perhaps he was annoyed that I didn't respond right away. Just weird.

Looks like he wanted you to know that he blocked you.

Yep. Some guys are catty like that for no apparent reason. After I'd contacted one particular provider (ConnerBKN on rentmen) to book an appointment, he took the time to also grant my request to see his private photos. It turns out that he had actually blocked me, and he likely just granted the photo request to ensure that I'd see that he'd blocked me. As in your situation, we'd had no negative interactions before that. Sometimes folks are just mean and you'll never know why. View this scenario as his loss, and not as a reflection on you as a client.

As it happens, I probably never would have booked time with him in any case. It's just so strange.

Inaccessible usually means blocked.

It could have been a case of mistaken identities. I talked with a provider once who said he routinely blocks 'time wasters' - people who email a lot and never actually book. Maybe he got you confused with someone else.

Yeah, that happened once. Asked nicely to see his locked pics. He opened them. As I was looking, it became, shall we say, an inconvenient moment to have RM open on my computer. So I closed the browser and came back later. He'd blocked me. I guess I didn't reply fast enough, and the idea that maybe I couldn't reply at that moment didn't cross his mind.

Bottom line: if he's that fussy and persnickety, I probably don't want to spend time with him.

The use of the word “persnickety”, gives you an automatic thumbs up!!! ??
