Rentboy : 386 guys for rent in Manhattan

I have never seen such a large number of rentboys listed in NYC as today, 386. This is truly staggering. What is this a sign of, economic distress? Or just a very vibrant market where everyone has lots of dough to throw around? It wasn't too long ago, maybe 3 or 4 years when there were about 250 listings. I live in a city about one quarter the size of Manhattan (Montreal) and we have 16 Rentboy listings today. Of course we have many other outlets of boys-for-hire including dancers galore but still, the numbers in NYC still stagger. :o

But how many are actually just in town for Hustlaball? Undoubtedly there are more visiting than normal but what is it - 50 at a generous most.

 

New York has always had a large number of male escorts. The number of hustler bars, agencies and male strip joint have gone down. The number of ads in back of local publications (HX, Next, Voice) are down. Other publications have gone escort adless (NY Press). There used to be an escort section on phone chat line, but I haven't used one in so long, I have no idea if such sections still exist. So part is due to less other venues to advertise or work in consistently. How many times have we seen starting escorts asking where to advertise?

 

Perhaps in Montreal, in contrast, there are more venues to advertise or work from.

 

Now there are some guy alway "available now" in NY. I wonder if that is the equivalent to the old days at Rounds of escorts who use hang around all time unless at the moment with a client (The Frankie syndrome).

What about the fraud factor? Just what percentage are guys that have multiple listings under different names? The scammers are rather creative with borrowed pictures and all. What number of listings could they account for, 5%, 10%, or more/less?

Right you are, whipped guy. WE can really use more BDSM specialists in the Big Apple.

 

Actually, there are quite a few guys with multiple listings, and not all scammers at that. Just some who, under the same name, have posted a different set of their photos and taken multiple listings so they'll pop up more frequently when potential customers are scrolling through all those ads.

 

To make it manageable, if I'm looking to hire relatively soon after signing on to browse, I'll limit my search to the one's who have indicated "available now." That usually reduces it to a manageable 75 or so to browse through, and cuts down the likelihood I'll be calling somebody who is out of town or otherwise engaged.

Many Guys over the course of the year do visit, mainly in the Warmer Months from Fla and LA.....I'm sure the Visitor's with Fall approaching will start to slow down. LOL :-)

Well about ten percent of the guys advertising for Manhatten are appealing to my tastes. There certainly is a wide variety of body types etc. so I am sure almost everyone would find someone they would like to spend time with.

I personally like athletic looking guys.
