There’s been some discussion on this before. Some people think that Friendboy copies profiles from other sites and keeps them up there even when the escort has taken down his ad elsewhere. I tried contacting one guy from the site about a year ago and never heard back. I guess that’s the only way you’ll find out.

That's pretty harsh! I've not had any issues with FriendBoy and the site's users... Most of what I have read on here about dislike for the site was a he said vs he said situation... Surely a little competition for RentMen is a healthy thing? ;)

You’re also a buyer and not a seller. FriendBoy has swiped profiles and info from RentMen without permission and as far as I know, the two are not affiliated. I signed up and never completed my profile, only to login months later and find that my info from RentMen had somehow mysteriously migrated to FriendBoy. The algorithm, the migrating, all of it is very sketchy.

You’ve mentioned it before here on the forum. I do wonder if this happened when they first started the site, to get some traction. ? Not something I approve of or would endorse, but sometimes folks make bad decision when they are inexperienced.

None of the guys I approached from the site indicated surprise about their profile on the site - I always mention where I found their contact details. That makes me a satisfied customer, I guess.?

I also agree that a bit of competition for Rentmen/Rentmasseur is a good thing. ?

@Hadakanbo appears to be correct - the NYC list is very diverse. Which is definitely a good thing! ??

Following my last muscle worship session, I posted glowing reviews on both Daddy's and Friendboy. After a couple emails, the provider messaged me that he didn't even know he was on Friendboy. So it appears that grabbing guys' profiles is a thing.

I hate "POC" - I think the idea of reducing and pigeonholing so many diverse people into a 3-letter acronym is rather disgusting. But then again, it's hardly new. Most of us on this site are GLBTQ, and of course most people probably forget that WASP is also an acronym. So I guess it's just more of the same.

In New York at least, it seems as if it's the site more POC escorts go for.

It’s okay to say “black” lol.

Also, I’d imagine there are no more black escorts on FriendBoy than there are on Rentmen. A simple “search by ethnicity” will tell you that. I just think there is less visibility on Rentmen because the card pile is so gargantuan and chock full of everything else. I can only think of a handful of black men who make an effort to position themselves in the Platinum grid.

At least in the way I've experienced the term, "POC" doesn't stand for Black - it's inclusive of Latinos and Asians as well. Essentially, anyone that we wouldn't normally consider "white."

I agree that if one is only referring to black escorts, then black (or African-American) would be a better term to use.

I haven’t seen a plethora of Asians nor Latinos on FriendBoy. Black, yes (per my comment). But you’ve also probably spent more time looking through the catalogue than I have, so you probably know better than I do lol

In my experience, both alternative outlets, Friendboy and Mintboys are run by honest people with the best intentions to provide us with a service, beyond any particular differences I may have with each. I like transparency, and I have disclosed before my relationship with them, allow me an update.

My first deal was with Friendboys, when they were Rentboy. They would include a banner with my blog name (back then my traffic was just a few hundred viewers monthly, mostly from these forums), and I would promote them here and produce anonymous comments after hiring one of their advertisers).

That changed a few moths ago, when I made a deal with Mintboys, their competition. Since then, the only agreement I have with Friendboy is an exchange of links. I keep a link to them in my home page, they keep a link to my blog in some of their pages. We are still doing this.

My deal with Mintboys included a monthly payment for keeping a link in my homepage, intervening in discussions where they were mentioned here, providing them with new advertisers, and linking the boys in my reviews to them exclusively when such a thing was possible. When they asked for exclusivity is when I changed the deal with FB. The deal with MB ended this month, they were not happy with the traffic coming from my blog, and we cancelled it. Now my new deal with them is similar to FB. I still keep a link to them in my home page and they keep a link to my blog in their FAQ page. I am free of any other obligation.

Going back to Friendboy, when I learned that one of their business practices was copying profiles from other outlets, I did let them know my disagreement. Their defense, that is not satisfactory to me, was that:

1. they did not see any problem with the practice, and it is a standard practice (according to them) in the business.

2. every time they publish a copied profile, they send an email to the provider letting him know. If the provider expressed discomfort. they would immediately delete the ad.

Again, I disagree with this practice. However, one bad business practice is not enough to me to question their intentions and honesty. Overall, I am still happy they exist and wish them success and growing.

I still recommend to everyone to check both, MB and FB, before calling a RM advertiser. If you call him from an alternative to RM, there is a good chance you will get a better price.

Also, you can find in these two websites new guys or guys who are afraid of the higher exposure they would get in RM. My experience tells me that you will not find more fakers or scammers than you would in Rentmen.

Long live to both, Mintboys and Friendboy.

Perhaps not on friendboy - I don't check out there all that often. But certainly in the Boston section on RM, there are a lot of Latinos, and occasionally Asians as well.

I would have said black if I meant black.

Actually, the acronym I tend to see more than any other concerning black men is BBC, lol. Though of course the first "B" is a potential stereotype (even when "it's twoo, it's twoo..."). I have to admit when I first saw that term I had to figure out what British TV had to do with it all, lol.

I detest this acronym. I realize being objectified/fetishized is something I’m unable to avoid in this business and I wouldn’t be doing it if I wasn’t prepared to deal with “the good, the bad and the ugly” but that acronym is so unnecessary and unattractive, nor does it come from a good place.

FraudPro.

Some people like this guy keep posting lies about Friendboy.pro on this forum. They probably think that Rentmen will hear them and give some benefits. This guy easily created a profile on Friendboy.pro. For free. After a year or so he LOGGED IN and mailed them that he wanted to delete his profile. It was deleted after the request.

Another source of that rumors is bad memory of some escorts. Unlike other sites Friendboy.pro doesn’t charge them each month and 90% of clients forget to specify that they found them on Friendboy.pro. So some of escorts forget about their Friendboy.pro profiles after a month or two. Finally the site started to delete not active profiles after couple of months with zero activity.

It would be good idea to do so from the very beginning but they were a little bit too stupid and a little bit too kind at the same time

No, I think everyone is just expressing their opinions and their personal experiences here. It would be nice if you respected that. You always come out here to defend your site, understood - but you never actually offer any help - you just deny that people's complaints are valid. Not helpful.

I will always come and defend the site I use and my friend works for:) Especially from false statements of Hypotheticaly or Marylander. My point
