When...

Gaiety was still open,

Miguel Leonn was escorting

Arpad Miklos was still alive

Chelsea still had some semblance of a gay neighborhood

Johan Paulik was still starring in belami videos

The village piers were derelict

Trump was the star of a reality tv show

TV wasn’t littered with drug ads.....

Chelsea Highline was inchoate

Eighteenth and Eight, La Belle Vie, Food Bar, Red Cat were great casual restaurants

A large studio could still be purchased for 250K

There were no bike lanes, no 311, 646 area code was just introduced

There were still kitchen bathtubs and hallway water closets in some derelict East Village walkups

Cost of a rent boy was about 120$

I was still in my 30s...:)
