Marylander1940 $300 an hour is the absolute maximum I consider paying. The reason is that I ALWAYS hire for approximately three hours -- one hour to share a meal and two hours to play. The very idea of paying $1,050.00 for such an arrangement is beyond absurd to my way of thinking. Frankly I expect guys who charge $300 an hour to prorate that amount on a three hour hire. The most I have ever paid for the above type of arrangement is $700 and frankly I have gotten together with many guys who were more than willing to accept $600.

I think it may be more like 200 bucks. And the guy is just gorgeous.

Sorry, I can't. I have never been to Colombia and have no knowledge of their slang. What we can do is apply logical deduction to discard the meanings you found.

 

He is obviously not saying that he is a lier, that is the one meaning easiest to drop. Perhaps he is referring at himself as a sugar can worker, but it seems highly improbable that anyone would include that in an escort profile, specially highlighting it as this guy does.

 

I may suggest a possibility, with no certainty. "Caños" is a very informal way to refer sometimes to weights and work out machines. I guess he is probably saying, insistently, that he is a gym guy. However, I have never heard this use before.

I would respectfully disagree with that. It is not that hard to search for 10-15 guys in your area, in the same age bracket, body type, review/no review etc. and ask them what their rates are. If you are going to be a professional, put in an effort, do your homework and understand your market.

I concur with the concept of discounting successive hours.

I always hire for 2-3 hours and about 50% of the time I ask “what is your suggested donation for 2 hours” I hear “My hourly rate is $X and so it’s 2*$X”.

 

Unless the amount is reasonable I politely decline (“Thank you but I’m afraid our interests do not align.”) and most of the time the conversation ends there. “Reasonable” is highly subjective and varies based on my level of interest in the companion. I look at it based solely on my level of interest and not based on my rationalization of his reduced expenses and travel overhead; that’s not my concern.

 

As a point of reference for discussion, when I’m asked by new guys about this I tell them that one rule of thumb is that the second & third hours are 50% of the first.

For example if an escort quotes me a fee of $900.00 for a meal plus two hours I thank him for his time, inform him that his fee is beyond my budget and apologize for wasting his time. That usually end the discussion. However, some escorts reply by asking what I am willing to pay. To this I usually respond that I don't believe that a client should bargain and therefore we won’t be meeting. My rule regarding this matter used to be hard and fast but of late I’ve become more flexible. Recently a couple of escorts have come with a new offer which I have accepted.

 

This issue has become less and less a problem over the last few years as I’ve come to rely more and more on a specific group of regulars. In these cases their fees are a known item and aren’t even discussed.

I didn't used to carry on an auction. But if a guy wanted to know what I was willing to pay, and they were ok with that. Then we met. If he didn't like what I could afford, then we didn't. I don't think anyone I ever ended up meeting gave me less attention because we had a discussion on fees.

 

However I do remember being uncomfortable bargaining in Mexico.
