It is with sad news to inform everyone that Bob Barker has taped his last episode of the Price Is Right :( The man is a legend and will be sadly missed, at least by me. I wish him the best and happiest retirement. I always liked Bob Barker and the ladies on The Price is Right. I remember spending many a summer vacation day watching TPIR with my brother. Every once in a while I would turn it on when I had a vacation day from work and remembered to watch. I will miss him.

I hope he reminded us one last time to spay and neuter our pets.

I have never seen a purplekow;

I never hope to see one;

I can tell you anyhow;

I'd rather see than be one

Help there is a purplekow in my mirror

According to a news story that I read, he did remind us to spay and neuter our pets. I plan to DVR the episode on June 15, so I will see for myself then.

just watched the last show this AM...it was taped last week

fortunately, it wasn't a sentimental sobfest...he spent, maybe, four extra seconds at the end thanking us, his audience....and did remind us to help control the pet population

the Showcase Showdown was much more expensive and there were lots of "Bob is #1"-type shirts on the participants....

it will repeat in prime time tonight, Friday, on CBS at 8/7pm.....

I was in the audience as a "contestant wannabe" a couple of years ago at a "Price is Right" taping. He will be missed. He is very professional and knows how to work an audience.

Actually it was, but most of that was edited out for broadcast. Local news covered the taping and the crowds camped outside the studio to get in.

One of the contestants called to COME ON DOWN camped outside for a WEEK.

Some report along the way said that, counting radio, Barker's been on the air for sixty years. Phenomenal.

>Now if cats and dogs were gay, Bob wouldn't have to remind

>people to have their pets spayed or neutered.....

I had a dog that claimed to be gay, but I had him neutered anyway. Some dogs will say anything to keep their balls and so you just can't trust them. (My suspicion is that the dog was only gay for pay as I saw him taking $10 from the butcher to lick his sausage.)

I watched his final show last night. True classy Bob he never mentioned it was his last show. He just thanked the audience for allowing him into their homes for he said fifty years and said goodbye.
