What you have to understand about Mary is that she is Old guard, and like Trump thinks her position on this board exonerates her from bad behavior.... After years of being here with her and often the victim of her venom covered in sugar, I am still not used to her crap, which she never cops to, but I just call her out and then move along.... She KNOWS what she does.

You’re spot on. And, Unblocking Mary is probably a good idea for me....it is good to know what people say and be able to call them out and defend yourself.

I reached out to him for some of his time. He was pretty personable over text and was respectful of me when I informed him of being nervous. When we met up, I had only hired once before. He was really chill and spent a good amount of time trying to put me at ease. I think he is a great guy and I enjoyed his personality. He's definitely attractive and enthusiastic. I've been thinking about reaching out again but haven't had time to commit. I don't think anyone will regret time with him.

Yes, I think you're right! I'm always amazed just how "flexible" these on line courses are these days that "students" can travel and have so much time while working on a degree! Maybe he's on a sabbatical?

To compete with for profit on-line institutions, more traditional universities and colleges have begun to offer classes via that medium as well. That said, I wonder the same thing.

Tried to hire him twice. Both times he flaked out. First time, cancelled 10 mins before we were supposed to meet and stopped responding to texts/blocked the chat. Tried  a second time using another screen name and after confirming, he randomly blocked the chat and didn’t answer texts.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt after reading comments here.  Decided to meet up while we were both traveling and in the same city.  Talked the day before meeting to make sure we could line things up since we were both traveling.  Came across as a nice guy and all was set.  Confirmed the meeting details the day of.  A few hours before the meet he came back to renegotiate the rate; which I found a little strange since I had agreed to what I would consider a "New York City" rate since that is where he is based now.  Against my better judgment I agreed.  And he flaked on me.  Went radio silent and never heard back from him.  Which is a shame since we are both going to be in the same city for a while and if things worked out I would have been up for spoiling him a bit.  🤷‍♂️
