John.....This is an interesting development. You are moving closer down into my neck of the woods. I welcome you to Dixie, and hope you enjoy our hospitality. :7

I now have three pressing reasons to schedule a return trip to the music city ASAP: Ethan, Seven, & John :9

I was wondering where you disappeared to! Hope the move works out for you. Thought I saw everything worth seeing on my last trip through Nashville, but I guess new things do tend to pop up. ;)

Well Rick, let us see. You have definitely misspelled definitely, definately. Misspelling was misspelled which is ironic but that was not yours.

Far be it was actually correctly spelled, in that the letters are in the correct order. That word is just misspaced.

Doggie-dog in lieu of dog eat dog and the use of "of: instead of "have", are not really misspellings, as the used words were correctly spelled, but something along the line of an improper usage. So you are right in that there are four errors, but only one word is misspelled, albeit intentionally, the rest were amusing misuses. For those who are familiar with the TV commercials in which people call to a central comedy office to get a rating on how funny something happening to them is, Rick's post was definitely amusing you are allowed to titter or giggle. (Where is fuck is spell check when you really need it?)

I noticed that but I didn't want to mention it because I'd rather be an ass than a dick (not that you were a dick for pointing it out) (although you do have a nice one).

And yet, there is no such word as "misspace." More irony. :+

Is that another misspaced word which should be "al be it"? :p

They may have misplaced misspaced. Misspace may be a mistake.

Can you misspeak when you write? Well if you can, I don't think I misspoke with misspaced. Over at a NYC University, I saw they were running a beauty contest for women with bad teeth, Misspaced Miss Pace. The signs announcing it were done poorly and the campus newspaper ran an article entitled: Misspaced Miss Pace Misspaced.

I checked my dictionary and I had the misfortune of missing misspaced, but googling misspaced led to 1500 hits, some of which were sites saying that misspaced was not a word. Others, not so short-sighted cited the above cited site, in plain sight suggesting otherwise. So don't be misled, when it comes to misspaced, misery may be misappropriated if you do. Mission accomplished.

I have never seen a purplekow;

I never hope to see one;

I can tell you anyhow;

I'd rather see than be one

Help there is a purplekow in my mirror
