I would think the provider would normally provide supplies unless it was discussed otherwise. I don't take chances and always bring supplies just in case to avoid any misunderstandings, confusion or excuses ;-)

Especially excuses.

Basically the one who bring condoms is the one who doesn’t want an std. Which should be both.

Is there a hard and fast rule on who supplies the standard supplies when it comes to condoms and lube? Escort or client? Does it fall on who is hosting? I’ve been doing this for years and never gave this much thought until a recent experience.

Depends, if you have a specific brand that you like bring it with you. For example I preferr to were magnum and I don’t like gun oil, therefore I bring my own choice(s).

Let's not forget allergies, preferences, and SIZE matters.

Some people are allergic to latex condoms, lamb's skin condoms, some to water-based or oil-based lubes, and some guys just need more or less when it comes to condom sizes.

My most recent escort hire, the dude's cock what bigger than mine yet his condoms felt like a tourniquet!

If you don't have your preferred party supplies - balloons, lubes, cock rings and dildos, you're unlikely to enjoy the dough you're spending.

there's no hard and fast rule, but why not be prepared? i got a little kit at the container store and i've got lube, cockrings, condoms, poppers, and a few other little things in there. it goes with me nearly everywhere, and that way i always have supplies.

pro-tip - get a small container of lube, then buy a big contaner (yes, amazon sells it) - then you can refill the little bottle from the big bottle, so you reduce cost, reduce waste, and if you misplace the little bottle, it's not a big deal.

Clients and escorts come in all different sizes. An escort knows his size and will have supplies according to his need. If the client is top then it is better to have his own supply!

Men who have sex with men are a high risk category for nearly all STDs/STIs. Escorts and men who cruise regularly are high risk because of the volume and variability of their sexual partners. Add in demographic, psychographic, and socioeconomic factors and risk only increases. Did you know some people get off on "stealthing?" Have you heard of it? It's a person who commits fraud to trick a safer sex person into unprotected sex. That's a violation of ethics, morals, trust, and consent. It's also a crime in some places. I bring it up only to make a point. Humans are not mind readers. We never truly know what someone is thinking or their motivations or goals. All we can ever know is ourselves, and even that takes a lifetime of practice and work.

If you're willing to live with the risks and unknowns, do whatever you want. But, if you want to reduce your risks and have safer sex, you should always bring your own condoms and lube for any penetrative activity, anal, oral, and vaginal. Learn how to use these supplies properly and how to ensure your partner does too. It's part of being an adult. Get informed, decide what you're comfortable with, and live your life as well as you can.
