I was also considering Santiago after hearing great things about it, though I do treat the Palm Springs weekend as an opportunity to get a bit sleazy and Canyon Club has been great in providing just the right amount of convenience, value and sleaziness.

I like Canyon Club, but found Inndulge to be much more comfortable and just as sociable. It is worth the higher rates. Plan to return there.

Well I guess it is about that time of year again when I post some gay hotel/resort options for guys who are considering attending The Palm Springs Weekend for the first time in 2020. If you are even just considering the possibility of attending I strongly recommend that you make reservation ASAP. Our weekend event takes place at the same time as the Coachella Music Festival thus rooms go quickly. You can always cancel a reservation if you decide at a later date not to attend. To the best of my knowledge all of the listed sites are clothing optional.

Warm Sands Area – The main advantage to resorts in this area is location, location, location. They are all very central to downtown Palm Springs’ restaurants, bars, and casino. It is also quite close to the restaurant where the Saturday Evening Dinner is held, the Sunday Pool Party at Oliver’s condo and the Sunday evening dinner.

All Worlds Resorts https://allworlds.com/

Desert Paradise Gay Men’s Resort https://desertparadise.com/

El Mirasol Villas https://www.elmirasol.com/

INNdulge https://inndulge.com

If I were staying in a resort it would be this one. Very popular with many of our attendees

The Hacienda at Warm Sands https://thehacienda.com

Probably the most beautiful of all the resorts but also the most expensive

Vista Grande https://vistagranderesort.com

San Lorenzo Road Area – These resorts are located in a very nice area BUT are rather distant from the Palm Springs City action.

Desert Sun Resort https://www.desertsunresort.com

Escape https://www.escapepalmsprings.com

La Dolce Vita Resort & Spa https://www.ladolcevitaresort.com

Santiago https://santiagoresort.com

Motel like but very popular with many gays. It is nearly as expensive at

The Hacienda.

Tortuga Del Sol https://tortugadelsol.com/

Triangle Inn Palm Springs http://www.triangle-inn.com/

On Palm Canyon Drive

The Canyon Club https://www.canyonclubhotel.com/

A bit “rustic” but very popular with many of our attendees.

Hope this helps and I look forward to seeing you all April, 18 & 19.

To be absolutely honest with you WilliamM until Oliver and I became friends and I got to know a couple other guys who live there I avoided the Palm Springs area like the plague. I detest the desert and I do not like heat or desert colors. With that out of the way I really don't know the Palm Springs area much beyond the immediate vicinity of the Palm Springs Weekend events. Rancho Mirage is out of the way for those events thus I know very little about it. I don't even know if there are any gay resorts in Ranch Mirage.

Now even though I don't like the desert I'm totally into this event. It is such great fun to mix with so many great poster from this site as well as the many outstanding escorts who attend. In many ways the Palm Springs Weekend has become one of the major highlights of my year.

This is only going to be semi helpful.

Years ago stayed at the Motel 6 in R.M. Was super clean. We'd planned staying in someone's spare room but he skated so Motel 6 turned out to be perfect.

If staying down there, Emperor Buffet has a wide variety. Used to always go when exploring in that direction. No shortage of veggies for the healthy crowd. Desserts, sushi and so on,

Roy's Hawaiian Fusion in R.M. is more upscale fare. Recently sat at the bar during happy hour. The service was great and I enjoyed watching the young fellows preparing the food. :) Ordered delicious items from the happy hour menu.

But yeah, don't know of gay specific accommodations down there. only some local boys that wanted to meet at Roy's.

Just Bumping this thread to pressure every one who is planning on attending or even considering attending the 2020 Palm Springs Weekend and has NOT yet made hotel reservations that it is time to make them NOW. If latter you cannot attend you can always cancel your reservation. Remember that Coachella is the same weekend and the longer you wait the fewer the number of room will be available and they will be the most expensive ones.

What would you suggest for the top five suggested hotels to stay at?

I do have a question... For the weekend, given the different types of venues we'll be meeting in, what types of attire are suggested for the more public events? I ask as I tend to over pack, and am trying to get better at it... Thanks guys!

For me, because it is always around my birthday, I treat myself and stay at the Hacienda. It has its ups and downs (many of which are chronicled here). One of the big ones is that it is fairly expensive or at least more expensive than the ones that are most used for the Weekend.

For the dinner, I always felt very comfortable wearing resort wear, i.e., a nice shirt and pants. Anotherwords there is no problem with khaki-sort of pants and polo (type) shirt. During the day things would depend on what you were going to do. I like to walk around town and go into the small stores. I felt entirely comfortable in a casual top and shorts with decent and comfortable sandals. The second day is the pool party and that is entirely for you to decide. I based my choice on my shame factor. I just brought a T-shirt and a nice pair of swimming trunks. But others at the pool chose rather skimpy bathing attire and with the bodies that they have I am very glad that they did. At the resort I generally stay it is swimsuit optional so that is one less thing to bring if you do not intend to wear a bathing suit at the pool party.

Thanks for the information. That's really helpful. I'm sure I'll end up naked at the pool party - I'm a bit of a nudist. Thanks again...
