Hugh Jackman to Star in ‘Music Man’ on Broadway

I'm not a huge fan of Jackman on-stage. He doesn't sing as much as bleat on key.

 

And while I love Sutton Foster, I can't imagine her for this role. The voice is totally wrong, but I'll be happy to be proven otherwise.

Couldn't agree more, except he is not always on key. Never quite understood the whole Jackman thing......

Count me as another Jackman skeptic. I left at intermission for the Boy From Oz. I wouldn't be excited about seeing him in the Music Man either. I didn't much care for Eric McCormick in the role either.

Hugh Jackman has been waiting to play the Music Man for a while now, but covid19 took over.

 

Concerning "The Boy from Oz," the original star (as Peter Allen) in Australia circa 1998 was considerably younger than Jackman.

Sutton Foster has covid19. So the weekend performances of "The Music Man" are cancelled.

The first previous was this past Monday. On the Internet, people who seen the show like it very much, especially Hugh Jackman.
