Okay, tell me this: how is it that Lucky, who has been posting here since long before me, is shown as being a member since May, '06? x(

I saw this the other day and am surprised no one gave you a serious answer (although I did think Rick's was an excellent reply ;-)

 

IIRC, there was some kind of purge of "inactive" accounts in late 2004 or early 2005. As a long-time lurker, I do know that Lucky was posting here before I finally registered (I think even I was a "charter member"). But I only posted one comment in all those years, so, unbeknownst to me, my account was retired. In the confusion after Hooboy's death, it took quite some time for me to re-register.

 

Of course, Lucky would know better than I (or anyone save, perhaps, deej or Daddy), but my best guess would be he had not been posting much at the time, or may have terminated in his account during one of the food fights that erupt around here (just as they do on every bulletin board known to man - and/or woman for that matter).

I am as mystified by this as you are. I think the most likely story is that, one day last May, when deej was fantasizing about me, he accidently deleted me. Like Humpty Dumpty, once he had me off the wall, he couldn't put me back together again. Thus, he had to start all over and I was no longer a charter member. But, really, who cares? I am still here to cater to all fantasies!

If I were you I'd ask Daddy in private why he spanked you, if you don't know already.

 

I do know that none of us will discuss your account status in public, and we won't discuss it with anyone but you even in private.

I read it several times, and several other posts where you brought the subject up.

 

I truly have no idea what happened, but even if I did it wouldn't be discussed in public.

 

Your account issues are your own, and I can say the same thing to everyone else who posts here.

Good luck with that (having Juan sent to spank you)! & let the rest know how it went - inquiring minds want... and all that. As for my rumination, apologies for intruding where I should not have. Fortunately, it sounds like you aren't concerned, so I am somewhat relieved. Still, Deej is right, and I, suitably chastened, shall shortly resume full lurker status.

 

[While I have your attention, if I in fact still do, I must also compliment you on your esquisite taste in men - can't think of one you I've seen you mention favorably that I would kick out bed for eating crackers. (Unless he wanted to eat them on the floor, of course!)]

I probably won't. Actually, there is only one more comment I still want to post (over on the "Manners" thread) at the moment, but haven't had time, or been organized enough, to do it. My previous comment contained a P.S. that didn't appear, I see. (Perhaps because I enclosed it in square brackets?) It is far too late to make a long story short so I will continue anyway. What I wrote went something like this:

 

While I have your attention (if in fact I still do at this point), I also wanted to compliment you on your esquisite taste in men. Haven't seen one you mentioned favorably that I would kick out of bed for eating crackers - unless, of course he preferred eating cracker on the floor.

 

EDIT: Having noticed the EDIT option and returned to my original comment I see that section did not publish because of those square brackets. Learn something new every time I visit, I guess. (How long is this EDIT window open he asks, too lazy to look around but now comprehending how arguments can easily get way out of hand.)

Someone coming to this board for the first time and not knowing that Lucky has been around forever would think that he has no other life than on this board. How else to account for his 7223 posts in 289 days of membership (since May 13, 06). That works out to one post every hour of every day! :7
